The colour of Japanese leaves has changed and is now scheduled to praise the autumn scenery

Japan’s autumn is an era where domestic and international tourists are eagerly awaited. Not only is the cool weather, but the city from Hokkaido to the south wears bright colors of yellow and red leaves.

In 2025, the Japan Tourism Promotion Agency (JNTO) announced a coloring schedule for leaf forecasts carried out by Japanese weather companies, helping visitors plan a journey to admire the complete collection.

According to forecasts, Golden Leaf season began the earliest beginning in November with Hokkaido, typically square and blue-weights. The leaves began to change colour from November 6th. The southern parts of Hiroshima, Osaka, Tokyo and other areas are from the middle of November to November 25th, and from the end of November. Fukuoka and Kawashima will be the most spectacular at the end of November.

Red leaf season usually appears after a few days. The cardboard was expected to have red leaves from November 7th to November 14th, from November 26th, from Sendai, Tokyo, and from November 30th. JNTO focused only on the predicted reference schedule, as the timing of leaves color change depends on the weather.

Hokkaido is a place where autumn leaves appear early, with cherry blossoms Moirenuma Park and the Daizetsuzan Mountains being the highlights. Tohoku is famous for its hot springs at Towada Lake and Nyuto Onsen, with red leaves covering the lake and mountains.

Tokyo is attractive for Shin Uku Gyoen, Rikugien Garden, or Gincoa Venue Boulevard. Kyoto is famous for its temples in the forests of Shimizu, Eikand and Arashiyama, with its red and yellow maple leaves and for creating spectacular views. Osaka is home to Osaka Castle and Minoo Park, and Hiroshima attracts visitors to Schkeen Park, where lakes and gardens blend in in autumn.

To enjoy autumn autumn, visitors must monitor the weather forecast and book tickets to visit the famous parks and prepare warm clothes. Big cities, convenient trains and buses allow you to rent a car while in Hokkaido or Tohoku, or take guided tours to help you easily travel between leaves far from the centre.

From November to mid-December, it is ideal for experiencing Japanese leaves and red leaves. Visitors will not only admire their gorgeous nature, but also explore the typical culture, cuisine and hot springs, bringing you an unforgettable collection journey in 2025.
