Prolonged high heat and strong fluctuations in humidity pose many potential risks affecting the health and activities of students, teachers, and staff in schools.
To proactively respond, the Department requires educational establishments to regularly update weather forecast information, develop heat prevention plans appropriate to actual conditions, and clearly assign responsibilities to administrators, teachers and staff in monitoring and taking care of students. High-risk groups such as preschool children, elementary school students, and students with underlying medical conditions or weak health need special attention.
