Vietnam continues to affirm its appeal on the international tourism map when participating and achieving high rankings in many categories at Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2025 – an annual award given by readers of American travel magazines. Condé Nast Traveler vote. This year, more than 757,000 votes were recorded, reflecting the special interest of global travelers in the world’s top destinations and accommodations.
In the rankings Top 10 friendliest countries in the world year 2025, Vietnam ranked 6th with 97.27 points, surpassing Thailand (8th place – 96.36 points). Condé Nast Traveler describes: “Sprawling rice fields, quaint towns and emerald green bays – there’s no place on Earth like Vietnam. The people here are eager to share it all with visitors, from sidewalk culture to cozy homestays in the remote areas, the friendliness and community connections are what make visitors unforgettable.”
In addition, the legendary Ha Giang Loop road is mentioned as an experience not to be missed, where visitors are not only conquered by the mountain and forest landscape but also by the sincerity and hospitality of the Vietnamese people.

One of the bright spots is Phu Quoc when it rose to the top in Asia and ranked third in the world Top of the most beautiful islands in the world with 95.51 points, surpassing the Maldives, Maui and Bali – destinations that are considered the world’s resort paradise.
In category Top 20 Leading Resorts in Asia, Topas Ecolodge (Sa Pa) ranked 3rd, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay ranked 5th, An Lam Retreats Ninh Van Bay ranked 8th and Six Senses Ninh Van Bay ranked 11th. These familiar names continue to prove the competitiveness of Vietnamese resorts, with a blend of unique architecture, natural landscape and international standard services.
In particular, Vietnam also made its mark in this category Top 20 best Spa Resorts in the world, when TIA Wellness Resort (Da Nang) was honored at 6th place. The trend of wellness tourism (wellness tourism) is recording strong development in Vietnam, attracting groups of tourists looking for balance and renewed energy.
In the list 15 best hotels in Southeast Asia, Hôtel des Arts Saigon – MGallery (HCMC) reached 5th place with 97.68 points, while De La Coupole Sapa – MGallery ranked 2nd with 98.59 points, and An Lam Retreats Saigon River (HCMC) ranked 6th.

Condé Nast Traveler also published the list The best hotels in Vietnam including typical names such as Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, The Reverie Saigon (HCMC), Four Seasons The Nam Hai (Da Nang), Regent Phu Quoc (An Giang), InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula, Anantara Hoi An (Da Nang), Park Hyatt Saigon (HCMC), and TIA Wellness Resort.
Not only resorts, the Central Heritage train – operated by Vietnam Railway Corporation – also participates in the event. Top 20 most beautiful trains in the world, ranked 16th. This journey connecting Hue – Da Nang was praised by Condé Nast Traveler as “a breathtaking railway experience with views of Tam Giang – Cau Hai lagoon, Lang Co bay and majestic Hai Van pass”.

In category Top 10 best airports in the world, Istanbul Airport (IST) leads with 95.19 points, followed by Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) with 94.82 points and Hamad International Airport (DOH, Qatar) with 93.29 points.
In category The best airlines in the world voted by readers, Singapore Airlines is ranked first, followed by Qatar Airline. Cathay Pacific also marked 8th place. This airline has just organized the event Cathay Travel Fair – Explore Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific in Ho Chi Minh City from October 10-12, with preferential round-trip airfares only 198 USD.
