Huong Son – A complete piece of the autumn in Hanoi

Poetic Yen stream

The journey to explore Huong Pagoda starts from Yen stream, a gentle stream winding between green mountains and clouds. If Yen stream is bustling with people going to festivals in the spring, then in the fall, this place takes on a strangely quiet, poetic look. The clear blue water is as calm as a soft silk strip, reflecting the high and wide sky and the successive limestone mountains, evoking a rare peaceful scene.

Sitting on a small boat, letting the rowing rhythm leisurely take you away, no city noise, no usual rush, only the peace that flows through each gentle stroke of the oar on the water. All worries seem to disappear, giving way to a feeling of clarity and lightness.

Fall is also the time when Yen stream is brilliant with water lilies in full bloom. On the water surface, clusters of pink, purple, and white flowers bloom, dotted with deep blue like the pure colors of a natural painting. Under the soft yellow sunlight, the water lilies stand proudly, making the whole stream seem to glow. It is not only a scene to preserve in frames, but also an experience that makes us calm down, feeling like nature also knows how to soothe the human soul.

Sitting on the boat, looking out into the distance, a few thin mists still lingered on the cliffs, flocks of birds flying high above, and the pagoda roof was faintly hidden behind the bushes. All blend together, creating a scene that is both sacred and lyrical.

Ancient spiritual space

Leaving the boat, tourists continue their journey by cable car to visit the Huong Son relic complex. Looking down from the cabin, the scene opens up like a giant painting, green mountains stretching endlessly, dark green limestone blocks glistening in the autumn sunlight. The entire space is both majestic and pure, making people’s hearts feel light, as if they are lost in meditation in nature.

Following the winding stone steps, each group of tourists walked slowly, their silhouettes hidden under the cool canopy of ancient trees. Soft golden sunlight penetrates through the leaves, illuminating the curved tiled roof, the wooden columns tinged with time, the quiet Buddha statues… All create a space that is both mysterious and intimate. Thien Tru Pagoda is hidden among the green of the mountains and forests, like a blooming lotus. Further away, Giai Oan Pagoda peacefully reflects on the stream of the same name, where the water divides into many small streams, reminding of the journey of letting go of troubles to move towards peace.

In particular, Huong Tich cave, which is known as “Nam Thien De Nhat Cave”, always exudes majesty and antiquity. Stepping into the cave, visitors feel like they are lost in another world. The multi-shaped stalactites sparkle under the dim light, each drop of water gently falls from the stone dome, leaving a dripping sound, blending into the silence of the dynamic space. The ancients called it “mother’s milk” and believed that whoever caught these drops of water would have good luck and peace in life.

In the deep and quiet space of Huong Tich cave, each person who stops to light a stick of incense clearly feels the harmony between the spiritual realm and the magnificent nature. Each Buddha statue, each ancient altar appears in the mist of incense, evoking reverence, making the soul calm, pure and light. In that place, nature, culture and beliefs blend together, leaving visitors with unforgettable impressions.

“Divine” check-in corners

Coming to Huong Son in the fall, you will own countless ideal check-in corners. Along the way to the Huong Son scenic complex, stone roads covered with yellow leaves, ancient moss tiled roofs, bell towers or hidden temple gates all create a poetic scene. On Yen stream, beautiful boats, blooming water lilies and gentle autumn light are perfect details for artistic photos or beautiful “virtual living” moments.

If you’re lucky, you can catch a flock of birds flying overhead, a thin mist in the morning or sunlight filtering through yellow foliage… All of these can become unique highlights in your autumn photos. For those who love photography, Huong Son is truly a paradise to explore the light, color and movement of nature.

The special thing about visiting Huong Son in the fall is not only the poetic scenery or beautiful check-in spots, but also the feeling of peace that spreads in every moment. Footsteps on a path lined with yellow leaves, the gentle rowing on Yen stream, eyes stopping at the ancient bell tower or the taste of a bowl of sweet vegetable soup, the sweetness of a piece of yam cake… all remind visitors of the connection between humans and nature, between the present and the past.

Huong Son in autumn is a piece in the journey of seeing, feeling, and experiencing in Hanoi. This place not only brings beautiful pictures, rustic dishes or majestic landscapes, but also gives visitors a sense of peace and rare moments of relaxation amid the hustle and bustle of life. That is the true value that Huong Son brings, making Hanoi more complete and unforgettable in the eyes of tourists.
