Margherí Restaurant (Ho Chi Minh City) has just become the only representative of Vietnam named in the list of Asia-Pacific Top 50 Pizza 2025. Awards voted by 50 Top Pizza organization, honoring the most prominent pizza addresses in the region.
At the announcement ceremony in Bangkok (Thailand), Margherí not only participated in the top 50 but also won a special prize “Performance of the Year”. This achievement helps the Vietnamese brand for the first time and many big names from Japan, Korea, Australia and Singapore.
According to the Organizing Committee, Margherí is highly appreciated for holding Neapolitan standards, from natural fermentation flour, short grilling time in the firewood, and skillfully combining Vietnamese raw materials to make its own impression. This is also a factor that helps the restaurant attract local and international tourists when coming to Ho Chi Minh City.
The representative of Margherí shared that the prize is an encouragement for Vietnamese cuisine to affirm its position on the world pizza map. This success also contributes to promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City as a dynamic culinary destination, where international trends are received and developed in creative.
In recent years, Neapolitan Pizza has not only maintained the intentions but also localized chefs to suit each country’s taste.
In Japan, pizza combines fresh seafood and seaweed; In Korea, popular variations with sweet potatoes and bulgogi; In Vietnam, Margherí created when using local ingredients such as herbs, fresh seafood or typical spice.
This trend helps Pizza not only keep the soul of Italian cuisine but also create a new experience for international customers, and affirm the culinary identity of each destination.
Leading this year’s ranking is The Pizza Bar on 38th (Tokyo, Japan) – the smallest pizza in the world with only 8 seats, led by Chief Daniele Cason (Mandarin Oriental Tokyo). 2nd place belongs to Ristopizza by Napoli Sta Ca (Tokyo), while Fiata by Salvatore Fiata (Hong Kong) ranked third.
The next positions are Massilia (Bangkok, Thailand) in class 4; Croosta (Manila, Philippines) and Shop225 (Melbourne, Australia) of the 5th class; Susey skin (India) in rank 6; A Mano (Manila, Philippines) and Dante’s Pizzeria (New Zealand) of the 7th class; Bottega (Beijing, China) Grade 8; Spacca Napoli (Seoul, Korea) Grade 9; and Pizzeria Braceria Cesari !! (Nagoya, Japan) closed the top 10.
